When you begin sewing, remember to position your stitches about a half inch from the edge of the fabric. When you reach the end of a length of thread, make the smallest stitch you can and pass your needle through the loop before pulling the thread all the way through. Sew three sides of your pillow all the way, but only sew 2-3 inches on each end of the fourth side. (You will probably need to re-thread your needle multiple times). This will leave you an opening to insert the pillow form or stuffing. Remove the pins. Snip off a little of each corner of your pillowcase, being careful not to cut your stitches, so that the fabric won‘t bunch up when you turn it inside out.
You can also choose the reversible designs to make your decorative pillows more exciting. There are so many stores that offer home decors. The reversible designs are those that have two fabrics in one pillow cover - one on the front and one on the back. Most of the time, the prints are mixed from the coordinating stripe and solid colors. You can also try botanical pattern for day one and a stripe on the following day.
Most of the designers recommend that large furniture like loveseats and sofas. Yes, it is true. With large furniture, you can use small patterns for your throw pillows or you can use neutral tones. But small furniture can also be accentuated with decorative throw pillows. These throw pillows are layered to add pattern, color, or theme. If you try to be creative on your choice of design, you can make your place more versatile. Anytime, you can swiftly update and change your pillows.
